Something missing from the apology?

July 4, 2009 · 1 Comment

Did I miss something, Monday? I heard Martin Kazmir give his apology. Rather courageous of him, I thought. Humble, too. Must have been tough. But I didn’t hear anyone at the table say “thanks, we accept your apology.” Those new microphones not working properly?

Maybe the sound of crunching chips and slurping beer at home was too loud and I missed it. Surely the mayor said thank you and accepted the apology on behalf of the town. Tell me my hearing’s bad. Tell me he did the right thing. For once.

I had the same feeling watching Council on Rogers.

Kazmir was gracious but Carrier remained smug.
